Save the Ocean Event

We’re sponsoring the “Save the Ocean” event in Miami on February 19, 2021. It’s a gathering of conservation experts and anyone else who would like to join to discuss the problems affecting our environment and how to help stop pollution and minimize our impact on the ocean when we fish. It’s time to stop allowing plastic bottles and bags to kill the fish and damage the fragile ecosystem. At the event, we’re also providing a proposed list of guidelines that commercial fishing vessels should follow going forward. The Miami-Dade City council will need to vote on our proposal, but it will be easier to get support from the council if we have Miami residents and other supporters from around the country in attendance. The live event will also be recorded and streamed on YouTube for viewing convenience. We’re really hoping to spread the word so everyone hears what we need to say. Traveling directions are available on our website. Public parking is available if you drive to the event. For the people who are flying in, Miami International Airport is the closest destination to the event location. Some of the managers will be renting jets for the trip. Miami jet charters are available at a discounted rate through Friday. Once you arrive, the pilot will inform us and we’ll send a limo to pick you up from the airport. All speakers must report to the event leader at 9:15 AM sharp to prepare for their speeches. Press coverage arrives at 9:45 AM and the event will begin at 10:00 AM. Photography is recommended and we encourage you to share the event on Facebook, Instagram, and all social media platforms available to make sure their is wide visibility. Our environment is important because it’s the only one we’ve got. We have to make sure the ocean, fish, and the delicate ecosystem is preserved for as long as possible because it doesn’t seem like we’ve got a great backup Earth to live on if this one fails.
